properties and actions: -safamood forte is an active antide- pressant because it inhibits synaptic reuptake of serotonin and to a lesser extent norepinephrine resulting in increased levels in the synaptic gap. -safamood forte suppresses interleukin- 6 (il6) and thereby promotes the deactivation of the hyperactive hypothalamic- pituitary-adrenal axis (hpa). -safamood forte indirectly inhibits the secretion of corticosteroids. -safamood forte exerts a mild anxiolytic action through the inhibition of the gamma amino butyric acid (gaba) reup- take pumps. -safamood forte is well tolerated and causes no physical dependence muscle relaxation or cognitive impairment. there has never been a report of toxicity in humans. -indications: - - mild and moderate depression - obsessive compulsive disorders (ocd) - psychosomatic disorders
