typecatol syrup is well formulated combination which contains 3 active ingerients to -relieve the symptoms of common cold and flu. -1- paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic agent and has been clinically proven -to be effective for the temporary relief of minor aches and pain associated with the -common cold and for the reduction of fever. -2- dextromethorphane hydrobromide is a non narcotic anti tussive acts centrally in -the medulla oblongata as opposed to locally (on the respiratory tract). -3- doxylamine succinate is a member of ethanolamine class of anti histamines; it acts -by competitively inhibiting histamine at h1 receptors. this effect helps to relieve -allergy cold symptoms such as watery eyes runny nose and sneezing fever -headache and cough. it also blocks muscarinic receptors ( has an atropine like action).
