about pyritinol -a vasoactive cerebral protector antioxidant nootropic in cerebral degenerative disorders. -mechanism of action of pyritinol -pyritinol is a vasoactive cerebral protector. it activates cerebral metabolism and increases glucose transport across blood brain barrier. pyritinol also enhances cholinergic transmission and blood flow in ischemic brain areas. thereby pyritinol counteract the cognitive and functional deficit induced by cardiovascular insufficiency. -indications for pyritinol -1. cerebrovascular accidents -2. head injury -3. prolonged anaesthesia -4. concentration and memory deficit -5. intellectual impairment of senility -6. developmental disorder of central nervous system in children
